FarmVestng is an agric tech platform whose mission is to end poverty in Africa, one rural farmer at a time. We do this by creating an online platform for connecting farmers to investors who engage in the agricultural value chain by sponsoring farms in rural communities.
In achieving our objective, we empower the rural farmer by providing access to improved resources (inclusive of Farm inputs, training on best farming techniques, sales of farm produce for higher value, and mentorship programs) to boost the quality and quantity of their food production, we also provide investors the opportunity to play a role food security by offering to sponsor the farmers
On FarmVestng all you have to do is sign up as either a farmer of an investor and the get the benefits that the platform offers. You will be directed to a page that requires you to sign up using an existing email address. Once your account is all set up you will automatically get a FarmVestng Profile Page. Please fill in all the details required.
You can benefit as either a farmeer or an investor. All you have to do is sign up for an account, follow the steps and you are on your way to get the most out of FarmVestng.
Once you sign up as a farmer, you can create a product which you want sponsorship or investment for, the amount needed, the cost of each unit, the rate of returns and duration and this would become visible to sponsor once verified
You can see the number of investors who have invested, the percentage and the list of investors.
As an investor, you can choose from a range of farms and products to sponsor, you can sponsor as many farms as you desire and are not limited to the number of farm units to purchase. You can view al your funded projects and get update on the farm activities.
Click on the farm or product you want to sponsor, select the number of farm units you want sponsor and click on "Invest Now" button.
You will be directed to another page to "check out" your order and to agree to the terms and conditions stated.
After that select the payment options of either ‘Paystack’ or ‘Bank’, you will be required to complete the transaction with your ATM Card or you may chose the bank transfer option which would require you to use your bank token to complete the transaction.
FarmVestng is built to give Farm Sponsors periodic updates; we send bi-weekly updates for farm cycles which are 6 months and less and we can send monthly updates for farm cycles which exceed 6 months. Farm updates are written reports of the progress being made at different stages of the farm cycle.
The initial sponsorship and return after harvest will be paid into the account details provided by you on your profile. You can click on 'edit profile' on your dashboard to update your bank details and other information.
